Life in Indonesia, Indonesian Photography Exhibition in Nafplio
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonsia in cooperation with the Municipality of Nafplio is organizing a photography exhibition under the title of “Life in Indonesia” on 10-13 November 2013. The exhibition, which features 37 photographs, are being held in the very historic buliding, Vouleftiko, the first parliament of the Greek Natio. The photographs were taken by several alumnus of Indonesian scholarship “Darmasiswa”. The photographs captures many aspects of life in Indonesia, from the scenery, the culture, the people to the ritual ceremonies in many parts of Indonesia.
The initiator of this event is Ms. Danai Karnava, who spent one year in Bandung from 2012-2013 to learn Indonesian language under the Darmasiswa Scholarship provided by the Government of Indonesia. She considered her year in Indonesia is the best experience in her life, so she wanted to share her experience with other people in Greece. In this regard, she invited other Darmasiswa Scholarship alumnus from Greece which are Alexandros Tsagaridis (2008-2009), Panagiota Loukaki, Vassilis Loukakis and Tassa Paraskevi (2010-2011), as well as Eleni Grafakou (2006-2007).
The exhebition was inagurated by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia along with The Mayor of Nafplio on 10 November 2013. The cultural performance of Indonesian traditional dances, the video presentation “Diversity of Indonesia” and Indonesian tradisional dishes enliven the opening ceremony.
